Fine art printing, framing and exhibition production for artists, museums, hotels and institutions — Istanbul

Every job follows the same sequence: file check, paper selection, ICC profile, physical proof, printing, presentation and, where needed, on-site installation. The colour decision is made on a printed proof, not on a screen; a proof is prepared in 2 working days. Scanning, printing, framing and mounting all happen in the same studio, so the work never changes hands — and neither does the colour.
DIFOART runs the entire process in one studio in Seyrantepe, Istanbul: fine art and giclée printing on a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-6100, chromogenic C-print on a Durst Lambda 131, large format exhibition printing up to 320 cm, facsimile and reproduction, framing and presentation, lamination and mounting, artwork and glass negative scanning, colour management and on-site installation. On the pigment side DIFOART has been a Hahnemühle Certified Studio Gold since 2013 (certificate no. 260589); on the C-print side it has worked with Fujifilm materials without interruption for 35 years — Glossy 240 µm, Lustre 230 µm and Pearl 245 µm are held in stock. Both systems are in the same studio. To date the studio has completed more than fifty museum projects, hundreds of photography exhibitions and dozens of hotel projects.
The studio's origins go back to REFO, founded by A. Halim Kulaksız in 1969; DIFOART itself was established in 2004. Father and son are both photographic artists, and the studio is run today by Coşar Kulaksız.
